Cheshire’s iconic Anderton Boat Lift, owned by the Canal & River Trust, is the world’s first ever successful boat lift. It is often referred to as the ‘Cathedral of the Canals’ and has won several awards. Visitors can take a river cruise along the Weaver Navigation, enjoy a guided boat trip through the lift or simply explore with free entry into the coffee shop, interactive exhibition, gift shop and grounds.
