Hylands House is part of Hylands Estate, nearly 600 acres of parkland south of Chelmsford. The house is a beautiful sight; a gleaming white Neoclassical villa with columns at the entrance. However, guided tours are only one day a month, so the estate’s parklands are the main attraction. There are pleasure gardens, an adventure playground, and a garden cafe.
